this pretending that cishet people have never looked at lesbians and other wlw-types as predatory threats to poor delicate straight women is bullshit. cishet people absolutely have (and some still do) looked at lesbian and bisexual women as “infringing upon the rights of [good heterosexual] women.” she’s denying old bigotry to kick the easier scapegoat of the day; don’t fall for that shit.
It’s worth noting that it’s not just similar rhetoric being used, it’s quite literally the same exact arguments being made. The main source of fearmongering these people bring up, about trans women “invading” women’s bathrooms and being predators and whatnot was made against lesbians (and queer women in general) before them, and made about black women before them.
They’ve been saying word for word the same shit for decades, they just shift the target once their previous one became socially unacceptable, and they’ll shift right back the moment they get the chance.
Zuko having a connection to the spirit world but instead of it being something deep and profound, it’s just because he spent three years pre-finding the avatar running towards the first weird magical shit he saw.

I now want an entire story where approximately 60% of the spirit world adopted young angry Zuko. (The other 40% were mostly just dicks)

I am not immune to the trope of “character overextends themselves in a bout of god-like power and immediately passes out afterwards”.
Bonus points if they do a superhero landing and / or crack a one liner before collapsing.
Double bonus points if right before they collapse into a puddle the last thing they see is their friends / love interest sprinting towards them at high velocity.
Trying very hard to write this while also not being obviously a trope, but ugh! so good
tropes are not bad. they are tools writers use to make compelling stories. its literally impossible to write a tropeless story. so look at the tropes you like and write a story involving them
I love all the possible implications from: “Mama is trans and wasn’t out back then”, “Mama successfully committed feminist voter fraud”, to “Mama just fucking voted and the people running her local ballot box knew what was fucking good for them and stayed out of her way”.
