Editing? Oh you mean fic patching.

*the horse now has a name*

okay but by naming the horse you delete the scene where they ride through the desert

If Elizabeth Warren’s wealth tax had been in place from 1982, Jeff Bezos would still have had a net worth of 49 billion dollars, and Bill Gates would have had 14 billion dollars.

In exchange for that, all Americans would have been granted universal child- and healthcare. Student debt would be regularly relieved, and the federal education budget would be 4 times larger.

Vote as if lives depend on it. Because they do.

If you take bezos money, his service would cease to exist.

And so would your utopia.

Bezos would still have 49 billion dollars, more money than he could ever spend no matter how hard he tried. That’s hardly taking “all his money”.

Also, I love amazon, but if I have to give it up for universal health care and free tuition? Fuck it, I’mma gonna go back to the stores and brace the masses in a heartbeat

who the hell calls the current state of affairs a ‘utopia’?

amazon dot com is not a necessary thing for the world, one day shipping is not a necessity, the listening device you speak to by name is not a necessity

amazon does not do anything that other companies werent already doing, it just muscled in like a prohibition era mobster (or more accurately like the chocolate syrup raquet of new york) to dominate a market it does not in fact contribute anything unique to

shockingly some of us have never purchased anything from amazon, do not own an alexa, and dont even have a kindle or whatever. its entirely possible to live in the modern era using other services

what is a necessity? not dying of poverty because bezos decided he needs more money then scrooge macduck so fucks over hundreds of thousands of workers, throws money at congress to affect how laws get made to keep minimum wage stagnant and make it legal to endanger their own employees health followed by that becoming established norm for other companies who want to ‘stay competitive’ despite there being no danger of bankruptcy for any of them they just want to keep pushing the ‘its technically not illegal’ line further every month

See folks, this guy gets it. Obama understands that despite all our differences; at the end of the day we’re all millionaires and should have our interests protected at the expense of a better society and the poor in general.

image

Obama literally didn’t say this.

Virtually every headline out there has GROSSLY misrepresented him.

In fact, Obama SPECIFICALLY and LITERALLY said he is not criticizing far left-wing activists.

image

He was, in fact, urging activists to remain committed, dedicated, and ACTIVE for the Democratic candidate, even if they’re not the shining beacon of left-wing perfection we want (and who also doesn’t exist, by the way).

Obama basically said, “The activists are doing their job. I hope they and your understand that not every goal wil be accomplished overnight. We have to stay active and motivated even when we don’t pass sweeping gun reform and Medicare for all in the first week. Please keep donating so we can keep fighting.”

But surprise surprise, a bunch of journalists with vested interests in the status quo WILDLY misrepresented his words and said, “Hey, even Obama said you need to tone it down.”

WHEN OBAMA WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO SAY HE IS IN NO WAY CRITICIZING THE FAR LEFT.

(The New York Times, by the way, COMPLETELY omitted the above quotes from their article on this speech of Obama’s. Seriously, fuck them.)

The Treetops level in Spyro makes me want to murder

image

Oh Lord. I was trying to help somebody through treetops recently, and they refused any guides. It was a nightmare of over 10 game overs. Thankfully 2 and 3 don’t have anything like treetops. Which is sad because treetops is a great level idea. But it still sucks as a level.

scraps dont throw me under the bus like that
