Super quick sketch of Toad and Toadette to test out their designs! Toad is Princess Peach’s butler/steward and his job, of course, is to ensure the princess’ comfort and wellbeing. He’s also in charge of planning any celebrational events and helping Peach with anything else she might need. Toadette is the head of the kingdom’s royal archeology team and also doubles as the keeper of the kingdom’s history books!
Given my recent headcanon on the Toad species in general I wanted them to look a little more human-like without taking away their “cutesy” element of their canon design, so this is the compromise I found so far. I’m likin’ it so far! owo
It’s been a challenge redesigning the Super Mario characters since I’m trying to go for something much softer and I guess cuter since the headcanon will be more simplistic and such, but I’m having fun exploring a slightly new style for myself to play with. Hope ya’ll like the results so far! owo
