Reminder that shinigami eyes also gets reviewed by real people and is not going to flag or highlight a user just because someone submitted it. So yeah stay critical sure, in case you see anything incongruous and need to contact a mod or something. But keep in mind that not only have people already reviewed this information and OK’d it for a reason, but there’s also tons of people very invested in making useless the few tools we have for protecting trans people from them. If someone’s flagged red it’s for a reason and you probably shouldn’t be “hearing them out” or giving them the time of day. Shinigami eyes is a tool that let’s trans people exist in online spaces without such constant, exhausting vigilance. That’s the point. And even then you gotta keep your eyes peeled. Anyone who is telling you not to trust that isn’t invested in making the tool better because that defeats the purpose of the tool. They probably just want to take away that security from you
