Why my DM loves me but the fellow players don’t

Alright so I was in a lost mines of Phandelver adventures league game and we were talking around the forest in the opening section trying to find the goblin hide out. Our ranger runs ahead leaving the Cleric, Fighter, Bard and Warlock (me) to try and catch up. The bard at the front of the marching order fails their perception check and falls into a pit trap and the following ensues:

Cleric: I wanna try and grab them before they fall in!

DM: Alright athletics check

Cleric: Shit, 10?

DM: Hmm well you definitely grab the bard but you’re now slowly falling in as well

Fighter: I’ll try and help him! *Rolls* nat 1

DM: You realise you didn’t put on your glasses this morning and walk towards the pit and fall straight in

Warlock: Cleric are you reaching an arm out for help?

Cleric: Uh yeah??

Warlock: Alright I cast mage hand and give him a high five

DM: (Through laughing) inspiration for the Warlock!
