toph not knowing any swears is REALLY funny but i think its even funnier if katara of all people is the one who accidentally teaches her the fuck word because she’s pissed at sokka and it accidentally slips out and she can never forgive herself for weaponizing a 12 year old like that
also toph stubbing her toe and being like “MOTHER TRUCKER that hurt like a buttcheek on a stick” and sokkas like…. theres no adults here you know. you can swear for real and tophs all confused like ???? but those are the worst words i know
sokka and katara: grew up in a society where all the adult men went to war leaving behind children, elderly and mothers.
Toph: was so sheltered that most people in her hometown didnt even know she existed
Zuko: grew up as a noble in a society where the smallest slight would result in banishment at best.
none of them would know any swears.
Aang, however, grew up with monks that taught him to enjoy the little things in life. that everything is an illusion and that respect is mutual. They were fun and encouraged freedom of expression. What im saying is that aang is the only one of the group that would know the word “Fuck”
