Tolkien and Lewis are both products of their times & their sexism exerts itself in different ways but my favorite is how every individual Narnia book has the same number of named female characters as the entire LOTR series combined. It’s so fucking funny.

absolutely wild for me to think that, if someone had told me 5 years ago that by 2020 both It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia AND Supernatural would have an out gay character that is part of the main cast, whose coming out was done so greatly in part because of fan drive, and then you asked me to guess which one of them would handle the coming out in the most homophobic way possible and which would handle it with the respect the character and the audience deserve…….i’d slap you
