Hello there! Fan for several years but just learned on the 30th anniversary that Good Omens came out on May 1st. I was wondering—does this have any correlation with the pagan holiday of Beltane (Mayday) or is it coincidence?
It’s not just a coincidence, it’s a mistake. We got the information from Wikipedia, but I have no idea who put it in there. Colin Smythe, Terry’s agent, just pointed out to us that the book was actually published on May 10th. So we can have another birthday in a bit over a week, if we want.
Oh dear. :D Very Good Omens though :). Probably switched at the hospital. ❤
whoops lmao that’s honestly the funniest thing ever even the co-author didn’t know when his book was released 😂
I don’t know the publication date of any of my books. Or even how many of them there have been, at this point*.
Mostly I couldn’t even give you the month they were published, and I’d be happy if I could name the year and the season.
Except I think that American Gods was published on June 18th or 20th 2001. (Goes and checks in https://www.neilgaiman.com/journal/agblogarchive/2001_06/ because I no longer trust Wikipedia.) Nope, it was June the 19th. I did a signing at the Borders Books in the World Trade Centre.
* I just googled it and was told “At least 34.” THIS IS NOT HELPFUL.
He played two different subculture characters completely differently during a time where both would have been played as “brooding”. The mans amazing.
Don’t forget, he played Shaggy so well in the movie that he was chosen to voice the role after Casey Kasem, the original actor, retired.
He also runs a cool DnD website!
havent seen the other music subculture movie but slc punk is sooo good it’s one of my favorite lesser known movies
I just adore him in everything
Hes the main antagonist in my favourite episode of leverage. A scam artist in witness protection conspiring with his officer to make a shitload of money
Oh, I didn’t know that! What season?
its called “The real fake car job” i i think its in season 4 or 5. It was towards the end of the series when they were all learning how to work each others jobs and nate trying to figure out which to make his successor
I was going to rewatch 1931 Dracula again tonight and just as I turned it on a BAT started flying around at my window and wouldn’t go away and I’ve never seen a bat at my house before and let me tell you I’ve been so gay touched starved this quarantine I was about ready to risk letting a wild bat in my room if it meant it could possibly be one tall, Sexy vampire
Ah rabies
But what if the bat was from my secret gay vampire admirer
