what she says: im fine

what she means: You know what Jar Jar calls Kenobi? Obi. He shortens Obi-Wan’s name to Obi. You know who else does that? Satine Kryze, aka Obi-Wan’s love interest. What does this mean? It can only mean one thing. Jar Jar is attempting to sway Obi-Wan to his side through basic romantic flattery. What side is this? The Dark Side. Jar Jar Binks is a Sith Lord and wants Obi-Wan Kenobi as his apprentice.

Important note to all Dracula fans - Coca-Cola was invented in 1886, and the story is set in 1897. This means you can authentically hint at coca-cola in any and all fanworks set around the book’s time period.

(not that it’s very impressive, since Dracula himself wouldn’t drink it, but certainly the American suitor can!)

Van Hellsing absolutely wired on classic cocaine coca cola defeating dracula

wait that means that cocain classic coca cola would exist in the castlevania series.

foreshadowing done well makes me go feral like there’s NOTHING better than getting to the end a book or an important storyline moment and realising that the author laced information so intricately into their writing that weren’t noticeable upon first read but when you read back sections they’re light giant red flags like wow writing is amazing

My favorite moment is the split second where it clicks and you really didn’t see it coming but you look back and all the hints and clues are there, the whole book has been leading you to this inevitable conclusion. You had some vague idea but you wouldn’t have guessed This.

this is infinitely better than just suddenly having a twist out of nowhere for the sake of having a twist

Hands down the funniest thing I have ever heard at college was overhearing the following sentence at a conference:

“I asked him what his pronouns were and he said ‘uh, PhD.’”

you will refer to me as DOCTOR and as DOCTOR alone!!!
