Cartoons having gay characters isn’t for the consumption of like. 27 y/os who have the resources to look up alternative media y/k.. like there’s gay kids who need to see the bubbline kiss, who need to read the korrasami comics, who need age appropriate characters to look up to and who are normalized and shown the same respect as straight characters and like.. Disney doing this blink and miss it shit completely goes over the point on why there’s need to be more representation? And them patting themselves in the back for having representation when like.. kids don’t see themselves represented is what makes this whole thing so vile..
Remember when Bioshock was like “if you choose not to kill any of these innocent little girls, you get a nice cutscene at the end of the game where they’re grateful for you not killing them” and every gaming publication put it in their “TOP 10 HARDEST CHOICES IN GAMING” lists
Now you see, I’ve watched enough cartoons to know that this square of the carpet is on a separate animation cell from the background & therefore something funky will happen if I step on it. You won’t catch me making a rookie mistake like that no sir!
