I am BEGGING y'all to get put and vote in the midterms. The Republicans have been so incredibly open about what their roadmap is, and it involves shit like this and a whole bunch of other horrific shit.
The midterms matter – possibly more than the presidential election. The midterms are what decides what the president has the power to do for the remainder of his term, and you can either give him democrats who will work with him, or Republicans who will blockade everything he tries to pass, and who will then work together to usher in Trump 2024.
Please for the love of everything you hold dear, get out and vote in November, I am begging you.

It’s really hard to explain what I mean but yknow that moment in the show where the protagonist realises who is pulling all the strings and it all clicks into place. But it implicates their companion in the process? And they turn around to tell their companion about their revelation and the shot changes and you can just see the companion is already 5 steps ahead of them. They’re got this knowing look and a smarmy smile on their face. And before the protagonist even gets to speak they have a silent moment of “we both know what we know.” LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE TYPE OF VILLAIN REVEAL.
A fun fact is that there are exactly zero cases of any US child ever being killed by Halloween candy that has been tampered with by a stranger, but the myth is so widespread that news stations report on it every single year, simply assuming the fact that it is talked about means that it has happened before. A reference with no referent. But making people needlessly terrified of the other people they live near is how the local news makes most of its money anyway so what’s a little lie once a year
There was one case of poisoned candy but it was the childs father who put arsenic in the kids pixie sticks and blamed it on a house that wasnt even participating on halloween.
