we really need to re-introduce the term “publicity stunt” back into our vocabulary. too many people are getting continually duped by blatant marketing ploys bc fundamentally they don’t see celebrities as….greedy millionaires cashing in on media trends to make money
hmmm i see what u mean, but entertain this idea with me….the misuse of the term ‘publicity stunt’ could potentially put an end to tiktok’s popularity because the kids on that app would start to see themselves as 'posers’ the way teens did in the '00s
NO UR ACTUALLY COMPLETELY AND OBJECTIVELY CORRECT MB
nobody on this site is ever ever EVER going to top running a blog dedicated entirely to posting cute pics of sweet old dogs in a shelter for a year and gradually becoming one of the most recognized blogs on the website, then without warning dropping “i just want to get dicked down again =/” with 0 explanation and abandoning the blog. not deleting it, not explaining anything, just leaving the whole thing as a monument. fucking flawless posting. literally the best of all time.
Don’t forget the absolute cherry on top that was reaching out to the actual dog shelter to tell them their tumblr account got hacked, only for them to say, “We’ve never had a tumblr account”
I guess one thing we can all take comfort in knowing is that if Jessie is with Stacy, and Scottie doesn’t know that Fiona and Jessie do it in his van every Sunday, and Scottie wishes he has Jessie’s girl, Stacy’s mom has still got it going on.
I still think about this and it was probably better when I wrote it XD
