Honestly I kind of really love what Steven Universe has done with Rose Quartz - setting her up as this deified, idolized, selfless, flawless martyr and then gradually stripping all that away, breaking it down and revealing her to be just as flawed as anyone else, and not in a cheap Oh-She-Was-Secretly-Evil-All-Along way either, no.
