teen titans 03 was literally so fucked up because you’d have one episode that’s like “lol the teen titans got brain washed by an old lady from a pie funny moments XD” and then literally the next episode is the start of a 3 parter about the end of the world and raven’s father who is literally satan. binge watching the show is great because you get whiplash every single time an episode starts, the tone was just all over the place. its one of my favorite shows of all time.
the final of season 2 was about terra’s betrayal of the teen titans, slade’s emotional manipulation and abuse and the effects it had on her and her pre-existing insecurity, and her eventual sacrifice for the greater good. the episode that came before it was
teen titans: beast boy made cyborgs system crash because he wanted to play a video game LOL now he has to fix it with a little bald brat XD
teen titans immediately afterwards: a palpable version of robin’s ptsd haunts him as his friends continue to doubt it’s existence, the more he fights back and the more his fear and paranoia grow, the closer it gets to taking his life
teen titans right after that: raven teen angst romance
teen titans again: there is no george washington and there never was
dnd character concept: a wizard who is a master of illusion magic who brags continuously about how unbelievable lifelike and realistic their illusions are, who doesn’t realize they’re actually a conjuration wizard and that the demon they just summoned is Real
