silver-tongues-blog asked: It always pissed me off when people think something isn't a big deal because it doesn't personally effect them and claim that those who ARE effected are overreacting. It's like the people who are saying were overreacting about president shit holes latest fuckery are trying to silence our voices about something that puts us in harm or something.
a lot of people think it’s cool and edgy to go against what everyone else is doing, no matter what it might be, and think acting aloof about things somehow puts them in a higher plane of existence than anyone who conforms to common issues.
Really all it does though is make them look like an ignorant lazy asshole who just wants to start shit with people to feel superior about something
also if they really ‘don’t care’ about these issues then they clearly can’t be assed to actually see what those issues are, instead overlooking anything wrong that someone points out and going “meh it’s not a big deal you’re overreacting.’
if you don’t care then you basically admit you have no idea if people are actually overreacting or not, so you have basically no right to run around barking “CONSPIRACY AND EXAGGERATION AND DELUSIONS” like a jaded madman who’s given up and thinks everyone else should just shut up and shove their heads up their own asses and let everything go to shit.
