This reminds me of the time a reporter went out to a tea party rally and interviewed people as they were leaving.
All
of these people were for cutting every government entitlement possible.
When asked, a large portion of the people interviewed were on some kind
of entitlement program (Medicaid, veterans benefits, OAS).
The
vast majority of these people didn’t believe this money was a handout
and had no problem receiving it. They were however against others (that
don’t look like them) getting it.
Btw there’s a BIG difference between a straight person saying “why can’t these characters just be friends:/ not everything has to be gay you guys”
and an aromantic person expressing a wish for more fandom spaces that don’t place unnecessary importance on romance and act like platonic love is secondary
and y'all need to stop pretending it’s the same thing and being aggressive towards aro people over it
not to mention how fandoms erase ace characters because they feel like the ace character needs to “learn what love is” or because they think a ship looks cute
Does anyone genuinely call their siblings sis, sister, little/big sis, bro, brother, little/big brother etc. as constantly as this appears to be portrayed in media? I’m extremely sceptical. Now, affectionally addressing them by something like “slug”, “toad”, “fool”, and “bitch”, or even dare I say it, their gotdamn name, is, from my experience, so much more natural.

arquius: 2 blogs: one is a mlp fanart blog where he makes his own content and engages in mild banter w/ other people. second one is just the robots from daft punk, except porn.
