I love how April 25th of 2018 proved to us that if you just let things happen and then just clean up an easy mess, you’d have zero problems to deal with.
Had Wikipedia not made a peep about Todd Howard’s page, people would’ve vandalized the page today, had a laugh, and then move on.
But Wikipedia did show signs of warning, and this ignited ambition, a sense of challenge within the people. And when people see a challenge, see, they find ways to overcome it, because that’s what humanity is all about: “I can’t do this this way, I’ll do it this other way, then”. Loopholes. Finding ways around. Doing what people told you not to do.
Result: Every single page related to Todd Howard, including different language editions of the Todd Howard page, is currently under siege.
A quick laugh is much like a tornado or an earthquake: A force of nature you cannot and should not fight against.
Tumblr users on April 25th, 2018: My ancestors are smiling on me Wikipedia. Can you say the same?
Hey, you. You’re finally awake. You were trying to edit the page, right? Walked right into that Wikipedia ambush, same as us, and that thief over there.
we should make fun of americans more. why dont their shops include tax in the price tag. like how much does this item cost? its a surprise :)
Honestly, tea. I’ve lived here my whole life and I have never once known what my total is gonna be at the register. Total fucking mystery.
im an ex-american living in new zealand for the past two years and it still never fails to blow my mind that i can take a $2 coin, walk up to a counter with two $1 items, and perform the expected transaction
anyway so i feel like the western obsession with romantic love is symptomatic of the absence of community we experience in our socially isolating society,
it’s the only type of love we’re really “allowed” to have and it’s really sad. i hope everyone realizes at some point that you don’t need to be dating someone to love them, and that you don’t need any romance just to be loved.
