Not to be THAT GUY but how is it that we still have people getting called terrible, for liking Cronus Ampora, while no one bats an eye at people like say, Mindfang.
It never says flat out that she had assaulted Dolorosa but there are so many more context clues to that being a possibility than Cronus putting his hand on Mituna’s shoulder.
There are people who are far worse, who do terrible awful things in Homestuck. And people don’t have an issue with there being a fanbase for them. Which is fine! Cause we all understand that for these characters, it’s all fictional. They aren’t real and have no real influence on the real world.
But as soon as someone is a fan of Cronus, it’s too much. The most this guy did was say hurtful shit and get too touchy-feely. He was never compared to Hitler in the comic, he never forced himself on anyone in the comic. He was a punchline for guys who think they are owed something for being “nice”. If that’s too real for you if THAT is too harsh for you. Then maybe you need to step back and take a breather.
Cronus Ampora is an asshole character, he is a fucking douche. But so is everyone else in Homestuck, in some way or another. For fuck’s sake, Vriska actually kissed Tavros without asking first and nothing is said about it.
Why? Cause she isn’t real and everyone is willing to look past it to enjoy her character. So how about we keep the double standards out of 2018 cause it’s fucking tiring having to deal with shit like this.
Let’s all grow up, and let other people enjoy things.

They could have made his motivation as basic as he was mad that King Bosphoramus flaked out on going to his birthday party and the story would have been 1000x better. THEY COULD HAVE MADE HIS MOTIVE ANYTHING.
Now y'see I disagree. Maybe I’m reading too much into things, but the calm, contemplative Ganondorf of WW is something very unique to that timeline offshoot.
The way I read things is THIS is the Ganondorf that was caught and executed before being able to set his plans into motion. This was the Ganondorf that was shunted off to the Twili realm and doesn’t even know who Link IS beyond some punk kid in green that always shuts him down before he put his feet on the ground. And most relevantly, this is the Ganondorf that was put down IMMEDIATELY in a prior incarnation. He barely had a chance to wake up before the guardians and the Divine Beasts blew him to kingdom come.
This is a Ganon comsumed by frustration, anger and hatred. A Ganon that forsook his humanity to tap deeper into the powers granted to him by his piece of the Triforce so that he could splinter himself out across the ancient tech that the Hylians dredged up, to manifest himself as the Blight Ganons strong enough to kill the Chosen Heroes and commandeer the behemoths that killed him so long ago.
This is the peak of Ganon’s malice, the deepest pit of his lust for power. A drive so strong that he would relinquish his own mind, his own personhood just to wreak his revenge on the entirety of Hyrule. A Ganon that forsakes reincarnation to finally crush those meddlesome, blonde gnats that always get in his way.
Don’t get me wrong, I loves me some more thoughtful Ganondorf. But we’ve SEEN a Ganondorf that has been given eternity to think of his actions. We know his motivations and what they might have come to. Calamity Ganon is the other side of the coin. This is Ganon’s fury. This is a Ganon consumed by his own darkness. And personally, I find that absolutely fascinating.
