Liberal media (CNN/MSNBC/etc) are reviving that “Trump is mentally ill” BS again. They are even using appeals to authority via psychiatrists to legitimize this claim (bc who are you to argue with a psychiatrist, presumably a foremost expert on mental health?) Forget about the fact diagnosing someone without a personal evaluation is considered unethical.
Mentally ill & non-mentally PoC have been telling people this take is trash for a variety of reasons now. If you’re going to absolve white supremacy, you might as well just do it explicitly. This is yet another way that liberals either tacitly or knowing try to avoid the obvious: Trump is an unabashed representation of everything America stands for & they are trying to preserve its reputation by pathologizing him. It erases the impact of white supremacy & therefore endorses it.
