okay but after looking at his policies, his interests align rather well with the democratic party. he just doesn’t want to run with them or any other political party because he believes them to be corrupt. and they are. have you just fucking forgotten the whole part where the DNC literally rigged elections???? no? well then let me refresh your memories. literally just google “dnc rigged” and you’ll come up on any number of articles saying how it was, as Hillary’s campaign financial advisor said, “fully under the control of Hillary’s campaign, which seemed to confirm the suspicions of the Bernie camp”
so yeah, we’re not just voting for him because his name is dave strider and that’s a homestuck funny. we’re voting for him because he has all of the values we love without all the corruption. so thanks for your comparison to a literal joke candidate who was 16 at the time, because that’s definitely what strider’s politics are. they’re for sure a joke. i mean, it’s not like he promised to push for prosecution of senators who unjustly used their powers and disregarded their people or anything like that. definitely a joke.
can you just do any shred of research before you fucking jump on the band wagon of “he’s just a joke vote”? because that’s how we got fucking trump as a president. it’s called the bandwagon effect and it fucks up every rational political discussion.
Plot twist: The next companion is a normal girl/boy who only dies once in their lifetime and has no remarkable back story but he thinks they’re wonderful because they are human and the Doctor needs reminding that you don’t need to be a mystery to be remarkable.
