my friend told me last night that he gets girls to come back to his place by telling them “oh i can’t wait to go home and have some stew” and “i’m so hungry, good thing i have stew at home” and it’s worked every time
bro the worst part is last night i went to his place and it’s 11pm and i’m sitting there eating fucking stew like god damn it worked on me too
people need to realise that a poor little meow meow must be a character who has committed atrocities you cannot poor little meow meow a good guy that’s not how this works
i think the trick with genies isn’t to be as specific as possible but instead it’s to wish for something you don’t want in a way that would lead to the “unintended” consequences being what you do want. you need to play 4D chess with the genie, i think they’d actually find it amusing

the usual suspects on twitter are once again mad that a fromsoft game that is about to come out doesn’t have detailed quest logs and an objective marker showing you where to go at all times and 3,000 map markers that show you where every sidequest and every collectible and every locked door and every hidden area is
a single journalist gently suggested keeping a journal around to keep track of stuff you’ve done if you have trouble remembering things - absolutely not a necessity for playing the game, but definitely helpful if you have a poor memory (like me)
this caused people to immediately break down into tears about the idea of not having a constant HUD telling them where to go
it’s almost entirely people who have never actually touched a fromsoft game too which is really hilarious. my favorite exchange here:

This is definitely a plausible Hank moment, but only after a long episode of him misunderstanding and getting it ignorantly (but not maliciously) wrong at first, being distressed and confused about how he’s out of touch with the kids and gender ain’t simple like it used to be
right up until some rude asshole does this in his face and he needs to stand up for his friends / family and suddenly Understands the emotional crux of the issue
