you know, if the Tres Horny Boys were to retake the BOB initiation test with all their memories, I think their choices would be different

because a Magnus with memories of the Power Bear’s lessons wouldn’t feel the need to prove himself and choose “Strongest” and with all the memories returned of risking his life to save others, of staying behind to help while the Hunger attacked, of running back to save Fisher, he would have accurately picked “Bravest”

and a Merle who remembered all his meetings with John, how to be kind and accepting of others no matter what they’ve done to you or the mistakes they’ve made, who remembered how truly powerful unconditional forgiveness can be would pick “Strongest”

and a Taako who could remember all his lessons and spells, who retained all his memories of training with his sister and perfecting his magic, and who didn’t have large gaps in his memory and mind - a Taako who remembered how to be wise and understanding, how to be observant about the thoughts and emotions of others would correctly choose “Smartest”

and I can’t help thinking that Lucretia would expect those choices, and when they chose differently, it just felt wrong. and maybe she had already realized when they appeared, when Taako was aloof and distant, when Magnus was gruffer than usual, and when Merle was meaner than she remembered, but seeing them pick what they did, I wonder if she started to realize how much her choice had changed them

imagine lucretia after the test is over in her private quarters just having a breakdown. davenport comes in and tries to comfort her but only says davenport.

A poster on Reddit asks: What are two events that took place in the same time in history but don’t seem like they would have?

Spain was still a fascist dictatorship when Microsoft was founded.

There were no classes in calculus in Harvard’s curriculum for the first few years because calculus hadn’t been discovered yet.

Two empires [Roman & Ottoman] spanned the entire gap from Jesus to Babe Ruth.

When the pyramids were being built, there were still woolly mammoths.

The last use of the guillotine was in France the same year Star Wars came out.

Oxford University was over 300 years old when the Aztec Empire was founded.

Pablo Picasso died the year Pink Floyd released “Dark Side of the Moon” (1973)

Prisoners began to arrive to Auschwitz a few days after Mc'Donalds was founded.

Coca-Cola is only 31 years younger than Italy.

Marilyn Monroe and Queen Elizabeth II were born in the same year.

The Ottoman empire still existed the last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.

people have been illegally dumping their old boats all around abandoned neighborhoods in detroit so this one newscaster on the local news station has been collecting them and finding out who the owners are by looking up the ID numbers on the boats and then she puts them on a flatbed truck and she brings them back to their owners wearing a fucking captain’s hat and she knocks on their doors and goes “hey we found your boat!”
