On one hand I’m like “Awesome! I love both these shows”, but…
on the other hand it feels weird because Batman: Brave and the Bold ended years ago… so it feels REALLY RANDOM. And before someone points out that they recently revived Batmant: The Animated Series for that Batman and Harley movie, I want to point out why that’s a very different beast. Batman: TAS never had a legit ending to it. So making random movies and stuff feels fine. Batman: BatB DID have a legit ending… a very meta one in fact, where Batman finds out his entire life is a TV show and it’s being cancelled. That he will have no further adventures. Batman has an existential crisis while fighting Bat Mite in that episode. The episode even ends on an emotional note. So reviving Batman: BatB after that feels… kinda’ wrong and weird… it’s hard to explain.
But hey, it’s not like Pixar is cancelling out all the feelings I had about Toy Story 3 by making another Toy Story movie… oh… wait…
