Merle’s dialogue: adding chuckles in mid-sentences. Old slang, like “hooligans, cahoots, and hoopla”. Repetition, “fellas fellas fellas”, standing one sentence then stopping and forgetting/going to a new thought completely.
i.e. “Guys, guys look I know things are looking a little finicky but as long as we…you know…heh…actually I had no idea where I was going with this I just wanted a turn to yap haha!”
Magnus’s Dialogue: EXCITED/CAPS. Addresses the last thing anyone says. Tehe’s when talking about something silly/cute. Long winded speeches when passionate. Very polite, angry animal metaphors. “He growls a threat. Snarls a retort”
i.e. “MERLE YOU LITERALLY HAD THE LAST WORD IN!” He barks out, “Anyway I think we should really like-prioritize and do what is most important…like petting this dog, tehe!”
Taako’s dialogue: (my fav) unnecessary cursing / random (almost generated) phrases. Layer on a thick layer of bullshit over sarcasm. (One word responses when stressed). Stutters + Uh’s/Um’s when he starts to form a plan or make a point. And of course, include the iconic self addressing.
i.e. “I-I’m not saying saying that I, Taako, have uh-uh better plan but like…y’all ass minions are clueless without me.”
Honestly if you want to know why Batman is necessary in Gotham City just remember that the Gotham City Police Department had a banquet honoring Commissioner Gordon and they ordered a cake from “Crazy Clown Catering.” Honestly, guess who jumped out of the cake, much to the surprise of the entire Gotham City Police Force, who by all logic should have an entire division devoted to Clown Felonies by this point
