personally I think Five Guys is an interesting take on the puppet & master archetype, though they have some problems against rushdowns like McDonalds or Grapplers like Burger King.

a game that keeps track of how many cutscenes you skip and that determines how invested your character acts during cutscenes and in gameplay moments
If you skip too many cutscenes, the game won’t give you highlights on your map to show you where to go, because you didn’t pay enough attention to have made the note on your map yourself.

I really love this idea, so long as it doesn’t penalize you for watching a cutscene for the fiftieth time because you keep dying right after.
if thats the case then maybe someone jsut says “deja vu” when you have to keep watching the same cutscene

Today I found out we owe most of our punctuation to the medieval Irish. They’d had no experience with Latin before, so when these Latin manuscripts started showing up written in all caps with no spaces between the words looking like a brick wall of hot nonsense, the Irish sighed and said “give me that feckin quill” and they did such a good job of editing the texts and producing readable copies that their conventions kind of stuck with us through the ages
