our utilities bill was extremely high this month and we couldn’t do more than a partial payment. the place i worked at closed down and I haven’t gotten a confirmation on whether or not i’ll be able to be transferred to another location. we need about $350 before 6/30 or else our shit will be shut off and we don’t have the money. Recently Hot Topic youtube channel released a video interview with Applejack where she revealed that she got her hat “Bobbing for Apples at the Ponyville Fair,” (To see the full interview here) after seeing that video I decided to make a comic to expand on that a bit.
Production on this comic was hard due to the fact that my art program kept freezing up while I was drawing it, but I’m pretty satisfied after finishing it. I personally think this is one of my best comics, it’s one of my few comics that actually makes me kind of emotional.

With the newest episode of the series it only seems fitting that I reblog this as a “Throwback Thursday” special. I know that some would argue this comic no longer fits in with the canon as it’s revealed in recent seasons that Applejack has hundreds of copies of “This here hat”, but I like to think that’s because she wants to keep the original safe.
After watching the most recent episode this comic seems even sadder than before. I didn’t think that was possible.
