Make that one dad and one balding uncle.
My friend and I have…a…weird headcanon.
Wikipedia detail: “ Threatening the President of the United States is a class E felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871.[45][46] The offense is punishable by up to 5 years in prison,[45] a $250,000 maximum fine,[47] a $100 special assessment,[48] and 3 years of supervised release.[49] ”
Insult Trump all you want, but don’t threaten him with violence on social media.
god bless this man honestly
Praise God
In case you don’t read it: basically it’s a lot of money given annually to planned parenthood that cannot be touched to keep the facilities open. It clearly states that this money is for things like access to contraceptives and cancer screenings and other care that planned parenthood offers that’s not specifically abortions.
So republicans won’t even be able to vote for defunding planned parenthood. Essentially.
“YOUR VOTE WAS A HATE CRIME” graffitied on the monument to Jefferson Davis in Richmond, Virginia.

If you missed it: It is technically possible to convince state electors to not vote for Trump. There is no law against them doing so. This is actually one of the reasons why the Electoral College exists; the Founders wanted to make it possible to prevent a man exactly like Donald Trump from taking office.
This means that there is a (very small) chance that we can prevent Trump from becoming President in January.
Q: What do I do?
A: If you live in a swing state, write to your electors and beg them to change their vote. You have until December to do this.Q: Who are my electors?
A: There’s at least a partial list of them here. There’s also Google.Q: What kinds of things should I say?
A: Make it as personal as possible. Tell them your story. Tell them how this will affect you and people you love. Tell them that you’re afraid for yourself, for your family, for your friends and other loved ones. Remind them (briefly; don’t overwhelm them) of why Trump is unfit to lead. Point out that the majority of the citizens of the country don’t want him to be president, and electing him anyway, though it’s the system we have, is counter to the ideals of democracy. Perhaps most importantly, appeal to their sense of honor and decency. Remind them of the enormous power and responsibility they actually have. Point out that they’re in a unique situation in the history of the country. Point out that they essentially have the ability to save the country. Point out that this is why we have an Electoral College at all (maybe include some quotes from the Founders themselves). Put yourself in their hands. Beg them to help you.Yeah, this probably won’t work. Low odds is never a reason to not try. It’s never a reason to give up. Worst case, you’re out the time it took to write and mail a letter. Organize, dig in for the long haul, but don’t just accept this outcome. Make Alexander Hamilton proud.
So many people are counting on you. Please help. (please also boost)
