Trump awards veteran Purple Heart, says “congratulations” and “tremendous job”

  • Trump paid a visit on Saturday to Sgt. First Class Alvaro Barrientos, who lost a leg while serving in Afghanistan.
  • During a brief ceremony at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Trump awarded Barrientos a Purple Heart and, oddly, offered his congratulations.
  • “So I heard about this, I wanted to do this myself,” Trump told Barrientos, according to CNN. “Congratulations on behalf of Melania and myself and the entire nation. Tremendous, tremendous job, congratulations.”
  • The Purple Heart is awarded to those who are killed or wounded in battle, which — as many people pointed out on social media — are less-than-“tremendous” circumstances. Read more (4/23/17 5:41 AM)

Trump took credit for military cost-cutting he had nothing to do with

  • President Donald Trump took credit for saving millions of dollars on an order of 90 F-35 fighter jets, telling the Associated Press he helped save “$725 million” on the purchase.
  • The problem is, Trump had nothing to do with those cost reductions.
  • In fact, the money-saving agreement was struck by Pentagon officials and jet manufacturer Lockheed Martin prior to the presidential election. Read more (4/24/17 9:30 AM)

Trump may have lied in ‘AP’ interview about having “never heard” of WikiLeaks

  • In an interview with the Associated Press on Friday, Trump was asked about his administration’s “tougher line” on WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, as the Department of Justice is now seeking to arrest Assange.
  • Trump answered by saying he had “never heard of WikiLeaks” until the site began dumping stolen emails from Hillary Clinton campaign.
  • That, however, flies in the face of Trump’s past on-the-record comments about WikiLeaks. In a 2010 interview on Fox Business, Trump commented on WikiLeaks’ release of classified military documents leaked to them by Chelsea Manning. Read more (4/24/17 9 AM)

In all seriousness this is what I’m talking about whenever I go off on how the rich can’t even spend their fucking money. Do you honestly think these fuckers are getting that much enjoyment out of these goddamn gummy bears compared to regular store-bought one? No, they get enjoyment out of the CONCEPT of them, out of the thrill of conspicuous consumption in the face of people who actually have to work for a living, or who, god forbid, don’t even have the opportunity.

So they’ll buy seven houses when you would be hard-pressed to justify them owning two, and they’ll buy huge-ass limousines and designer clothes just to look a tiny bit cooler (as if any real fan of a celebrity gives a fuck about the label they’re wearing rather than the content they put out, or the persona they have, or even the way the outfit actually LOOKS), and they’ll pay out the ass for ludicrously expensive ingredients placed in such ludicrously tiny portions that they can barely fucking taste them.

I don’t understand it even slightly. I can barely imagine what I’d do with $150,000 a year, much less millions. And I’m not even like a “simple pleasures” fanatic – sure, I get the appeal of a second house! I get the appeal of regular vacations! I get the appeal of eating steak five nights a week, drinking expensive champagne! But wealth disparity has become so fucking absurd in this country and on this planet that those quasi-reasonable luxuries aren’t enough, so they have to make up bullshit that can’t possibly even be enjoyable in its own right just so they can feel good about having money.

It’s disgusting. Eat the rich.

EAT THE FUCKING RICH.

compost them.

render them for fuel.

Futhermore: “tumblr” as you experience it is defined entirely by whom you’re following. If you think tumblr doesn’t focus enough on recovery or female artists or Jason Momoa, follow some recovery/female artists/Jason Momoa blogs, and tumblr will change.

THIS. People are always going on about “tumblr is so toxic” like there’s a singular tumblr experience and we’re all helpless to escape it. UNFOLLOW PEOPLE. If someone’s putting bullshit on your dash, just unfollow them. Follow new people. It really is that simple. Tumblr is what you make it.

Hey, so, i’m all for this sudden trend of neurotypicals using fidgets and stim toys (mainly fidget cubes and spinners bit still), like its helping normalise them, thats great, but PLEASE be respectful with how you use them.

What i mean is, like, dont treat them like “toys” or fun little novelties. For example, at my school those little hand spinners blew up, and id bought one too. It was really helping me focus in class and relax, but all of the nts who had them were, like, playing with them in class. and by playing, i dont mean fidgeting, i mean “lets pass this around all my friends and mess about with it instead of working” which lead to them being banned.

Now they’re confiscated on sight at school, and teachers are beginning to do similar things to other stim and fidget toys (ive seen two stress balls and a fidget cube be confiscated just bc their nt owners were showing them off to all their friends and disrupting the class by messing about with them)

If nts keep this up, then nds will have an even harder time stimming in academic spaces, due to stim toys largely being banned

So please, if you’re a neurotypical, or even if you’re not tbh, dont treat stims like toys and end up getting them banned.

Game Concept: You the player are some terrible god-like force and you pick an NPC at random to possess as the Player Character. All NPCs in-game react accordingly to the sudden possession depending on who you pick. You can pick any character with each fresh play through.

Example: You possess the mayor’s son and his family is grateful and humbled to have one of their bloodline chosen as Hero of the Land. If you pick the farmer’s daughter as the PC, her dad will be a game-long companion and come with you trying futilely to help/save his possessed daughter. You pick the town new comer and literally no one will try to help you at all except the farmer’s daughter who, in the play through, is not possessed and is very kind to you.

You still go on and fight the big bad as normal, but 99% of the drama is based around the interpersonal fall out of this small town tolerating you as a a weird spirit thing possessing someone they know in order to save the kingdom.

If you die, you start again but the NPCs you’ve chosen are no longer there. If you die a lot, the town starts to resent you and refuse to do business with you. They consider the person you possessed dead the moment you take their body.

🌊🏊Sharks are nice!🏄

Since its summertime and people are gonna be hitting the beach to swim and/or surf, i decided to make this informative shark post.
In the media sharks are portrayed as mean bloodthirsty and vicious creatures. Such as in movies like “The Shallows” and “Jaws”. But are sharks really that vicious? The answer is no. No they are not. Sharks are really nice and sweet creatures. I am a surfer and have been bitten a couple of times by sharks but i still know the truth… sharks aren’t evil creatures.
You may be thinking “but you’ve been bitten by one! How can they not be evil!?” Well the answer to that my bro
is simple, its all a misunderstanding. You see, sharks dont have great eyesight. They are blind as fuck. So they rely on other senses to find food. They see the silhouette of us surfers on our boards and they see it from a below angle and they think we kind look like seals, their favourite meal (as seen in the pics above). So they take just a nibble to see what the fuck we are. Once they realize we aint a seal, they go away. Why? Sharks HATE the taste of human meat. We disgusting af to them. Thats why the majority of shark attacks are just sharks bitting once and then leaving. They just wanted to know what the fuck we are bro. Its a case of mistaken identity. A misunderstanding. Have there been shark attacks where the shark bites more than once? Yeah. But thats rare and it only happens if the shark is either
(1) feeling threatened or provoked.
Or
(2) very hungry. Like, i mean STARVING.

Sharks just wanna eat but they dont wanna eat us. Its just a simple misunderstanding. As you can see in the photos above, people can swim with sharks and nothing happens. Its totally fine my dudes. So there you have it, sharks are homies, not hostile.

MORE INFO:
The likelihood of being attacked by a shark is thought to be 1 in 11.5 million, and only 4 or 5 people in the entire world die each year from shark attacks.[1]. If you’re still nervous about meeting one of these ocean predators, check out these guidelines to help you further minimize the chances of an encounter- http://m.wikihow.com/Avoid-Sharks-While-Surfing

PLEASE REBLOG THANKS MATE

If you’re scared of sharks don’t go in the water, but don’t actively hate sharks.
Even Peter Benchley (the creator of jaws) hated what his story did, and actively tried to fix what damage had been done due to the paranoia caused by his book/the movie. He defended sharks until he died, and hated the shark hunting craze and fear he caused.

Sharks are good animals, don’t hate them just because you don’t understand them
