When an English Professor takes off points because you interpret a story differently, they’re basically penalizing you for not sharing the same headcanon they do
I work for an educational program as the jack-of-all-trades (graphic designer, marketer, event planner, etc.). One of my duties this week is to collect the new Power Point slides from the faculty to handouts for the students. The old template was ugly (circular gradient backgrounds) and had no reference to the school, so made a new template and handed it out, asking people to use them. I gave detailed instructions on how to convert their slides, and almost everyone figured it out immediately. Almost. One teacher couldn’t figure this out, so I had to convert all of the slides for him and send them back.
While most teachers’ slides converted just fine, his would require a lot of manual reformatting because he’d used hyphens instead of bullet points, used the space key to align his text – just lots of decisions that meant I had to go in and do it by hand. I offered to do this for him, but apparently that wasn’t good enough.
Client: That’s not going to work, because I have pretty particular needs. I’m not sure I have the time to tell you what to do. Can’t I just use the same slides?
Me: I’m sorry, but your slides would be the only ones with the wrong template and it would look unprofessional for the program. Can you just make the changes yourself?
Client: Well I don’t see why I should be expected to make those changes.
After some argument, he begrudgingly agreed to take on the horrible burden of printing his slides, circling what was wrong with them in red ink, and then handing them to me so I could do them.
Hi there!
I`ve created stickers for iMessage.
FLUFFY ALPAKAS are my first try :) How do You like it?
If You are interested here`s a link to appstore:
I hope that soon I`ll do something next.
Actually hold up a sec, why is their recoil when he turns the Lightsabers on?
I think it’s actually from his pistons flipping the switch or however they work
Maybe it’s a result of the magnetic fields kicking in?
That makes sense. The magnetig fields wouldn’t effect someoen who is flesh and blood but it would reasonably have a small effect on those with small metal appendages.
Day 20 of October’s Gore Challenge: Eyes.
How can I not draw Peeka-boh for this theme?
Adoptable bought by KnightSmile.
Enjoy!
Obi-Wan could have killed or disarmed him anywhere in the first two gifs.
And that’s why I’d make a terrible script writer.
There would be no big heroic moments, just sudden death.
Even in the 3rd gif, he is so wide open. Plus Grevious always does wide overly done swings, a quick stab would instantly put him down.
In context, the Jedi are not really given to aggressive swordplay. Kenobi particularly so.
But in that moment of him spreading his arms with the lightsabres, you could have all four of his arms off, then his legs, then slice the full length of his body.
Don’t be so harsh on Obi, the man is looking at a green nothing for the length of three gifs here.
If you guys are going to argue about how “he could have killed him during this display” then I bet you’re the same kind of people wondering why the jedi don’t just sneak into places and stab people in the back without alerting them, or why the jedi don’t just mind control all their enemies to shoot themselves in the head; and you people are also the ones who completely miss the entire point of the jedi and how they are different from the sith.
if flaws is all you seek, flaws is all you find. i dunno how ppl can enjoy anything ever with that kind of mentality. just circles of pure uncondensed hatred and misery.
I pity people who are unable to enjoy anything ever and only can feel/seek out the bad things in life.
Hell, Grevious was probably standing there the entire time thinking “Go on, attack me, do it jedi, surprise me, just this once, and attack me before I attack you. Do it. Bah, thought so.”
He’s supposed to be a cyborg that is more machine then living person at that point. He is supposed to have the reflexes and speed to intercept such a blow. That said he is also set up as a Jedi slayer who killed many Jedi up that point - of whom also are some quiet famous an well known among these.
The only reason he evtl lost to obi is because he got badly damaged just prior to the third movie - at the assault at the imperial sense when they kidnapped palp - there he got (ironic) gravely wounded in his chest area - lungs/heart etc took a bad strike and got literally crippled (without repair he was slowly dying hence him constantly running away in the 3rd movie)
(This is mostly a fan theory but based heavily on facts we got presented with over the time through the clone wars cartoon movie for example and others…)
Also those big flashy swings are key to beating a Jedi. They’re all about discipline and control and his weird jank is used to mess with their heads and keep them distracted and be intimidating.
also, attacking before the opponent is ready is the path to the dark side. If obi wan attacked him he would have been no better than anikin when anikin decapitated dooku
