I already made a post about this, but I think that Aether Foundation are the true villains of the game. I still think that Team Skull will be a threat, but not the threat. I actually hope that Aether Foundation are the true villains. It would make for a more interesting story and Lusamine would be our first female evil team leader.
Saying “[Insert character] is [insert headcanon] sorry I don’t make the rules” is the fastest way to ensure I won’t like your headcanon.
In case anyone was confused, here’s the gist:
“I think the character is (insert headcanon)” ✔ Okay
“This character is (insert headcanon). It’s canon, and if you don’t agree it is literally erasure and you’re a bigot. Sorry, but I don’t make the rules sweetie.” ❌ Yikes
It’s okay to have your own headcanons, no one is saying that you can’t. But when you start using passive agressive tactics in order to get people to accept it and keep insisting that it’s canon, that’s when you need to simmer down.
The funny thing about this post is that more than half of the commentary is defending telling people their headcanons are the only ones anyone is allowed to have and if you think saying any character is ever het or cis or anything else you don’t like, you might wanna rethink that. Look at the amount of people here saying “all your faves are trans lol” like. That is the exact obnoxious thing here. This post wasn’t made to tell you that you can’t make whatever headcanons you want, it makes that ABUNDANTLY clear. The problem is asserting that everything else is wrong and trying to erase other people’s headcanons because they’re not yours. Stop fucking doing that. Headcanon characters however you want and don’t EVER tell someone they’re not allowed to do the same.
