Basically claiming that you’re someone elses character is fucking gross. First off, you probably don’t even know that characters full story, only the creator does. Second off you don’t know why the character was made. I’ve seen people yell at a creator for asking them not to kin with a character who was based off of the creators halucination

I’ve also seen someone claim to be a character and also trans so they told everyone in the fandom that the character was canonically trans and when the person got called out on their bullshit, the person started claiming anyone who doesn’t think the character is trans is transphobic.

these assholes were claiming to be the halucination in the real world. That is fucking disgusting. Fictionkin are the worst kind of otherkin.

“kinning” with someones original characters is gross, dont do it, and “kinning” with someones fursona is even more disgusting because, hey, have you realized that someone’s fursona is basically an extension of themselves? have you realized the artist probably places their own feelings and problems on to their fursona too? and by saying that you are them you are literally a) stealing someone’s character, b) trivializing the artists’ own problems, and c) diverting attention to yourself and essentially saying you are the person who the fursona represents (off by two divisons)
please unfollow me if you think being “kin” with someone’s character/fursona is okay and don’t ever, ever tag my art with that or say that about my art.
