Honestly if anyone is proof of Drift compatibility being a real thing it’s the McElroys. Like they are so constantly in synch with their thoughts and humour that you can totally picture them still blasting off one-liners and goofs while simultaneously suplexing a kaiju in their jaeger, Rancho Greatjob
What the fuck. I thought that was just a joke. Is this childrens book series actually like this?
On page 20 of book 1 the kindly mentor character gets eaten alive in front of the kids, who have never seen death before. He is telepathic and they feel him dying in their brains, but can’t make a sound or they’ll be discovered and killed.
A few books after that it gets serious and we see our first suicide attempts. It keeps going downhill for 64 books.
kids are not and have never been afraid of dark themes, the best kids media doesn’t talk down to them
The final book wraps up the big battle in the first chapter or so. The rest is literally about them dealing with PTSD and the aftermath of losing the people they loved while living loveless lives as ambassadors, warheroes, and the like.
The book with bat, people who are ingested with the alien parasite commit suicide because a certain type of oatmeal permenantly melds the parasite to the brain and causes it immense pain as it kills the parasite so the kids plan to sneak into the parasite base and flood their nutrient pools with it, dooming everyone inside because it’s better to be dead than infected.
windows 10 is garbage so every time i boot up the computer i have to run command prompt and enter
net.exe stop “Windows Search”
so that the shitty goddamned search/cortana feature that i never fucking use stops running in the background taking up all my fucking disk space
before
after
what the fuck is that seriously what the fuck is making my computer be a fucking piece of shit
On a system running Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise edition, you can use Group Policy to apply this setting across multiple machines in an enterprise network; on a single PC, use the local Group Policy Editor, gpedit.msc, to open the policy Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search > Allow Cortana and set it to disabled.
On a system running Windows 10 Home, you need to make a manual edit to the registry. Find the key HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search (you might need to create this key if it doesn’t exist), and then create the DWORD value AllowCortana and set it to 0.
Are you serious right now
Ok, I wasn’t comfortable digging in my personal computer’s registry, especially since it didn’t match the directions, so I just followed the disable directions here. I didn’t clear everything off Bing, but I don’t care about Bing.
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
