not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.

There was this one time in my freshman year of high school, we were in anime club (of course) and I was asking this guy if he wanted to join me and a few others to go see a movie. The club president overheard me and lost her damn mind because she thought we were gay and that I was asking him out. She was cooing and sighing and asking us if we were going to go ice skating (this was almost a decade ago, so no, she wasn’t referring to yoi)
As awkward as it was, it would’ve been a hell of a lot worse had either of us been LGBT+. Protect those boys from straight fangirls.

not to mention the rabid fetishization. Remember when people sent death threats to martin freemans wife because he played a fictional character who was the subject of queerbait? If that’s how they treat straight actors who play fictional characters who are straight but in situations which make them appear to be gay, just imagine how bad it must be for real gay men. Also they constantly refer to gay asian men as yaoi which is pretty fucking racist.
