Earlier this week, seven people in the town of Salem, Massachusetts planted fireworks in the newspaper box that holds copies of the local LGBT publication, the Rainbow Times.
This is the 11th time the newspaper has faced some kind of vandalism, including one attack during Pride month. This attack happened on a normally busy shopping street, around 1AM. The police chief referred to it as a hate crime, but it’s unclear whether it’s being formally prosecuted as such.
Nicole Lashomb, the editor in chief of the Times, said she was shocked by the surveillance footage of the incident.
“When I first saw it, I gasped and cupped my hand over my mouth,” Lashomb told the Boston Herald. “It was that shocking to me. After the explosion went off the box is sitting there in flames until the officers arrive.”
She believes that the vandals were sending a clear message.
“The message is they don’t want us there,” Lashomb said, adding: “I think you have to be concerned about violence. I think with the presidential race and the political climate … it could lead to more violence.”
Times publisher Gricel Ocasio added that the paper will not back down in the face of hatred.
“This is a form of censorship,” Ocasio said. “I guess, perhaps, they thought they can silence us and we would be gone. We will not be silenced. We have two new boxes coming into the city. We are not deterred.”
There are a lot of ways to express violence toward a community, and this is one of them. Hoping they can move forward with resilience and strength.

Late Soriel week prompt: #Family!
Okay, so I’ve had this idea knocking about in my head for awhile about how the kids’ would react to Soriel, and I thought it would fit perfectly well for this prompt B) So as you can see, even with the inevitable tensions and hesitations, I think they’d all be pretty accepting as long as Tori is happy
Asriel takes it the hardest though, undoubtedly. They’d be VERY dysfunctional at first, but I think they’d be a super precious ragtag little family (Papyrus included too, of course)~ <3 Chara and Azzy would NEVER call Sans “dad”, though; eventually, Tori would forgive/accept Asgore in her life again (the fact that their first child and Chara is alive in this AU makes it easier to forgive him lmao), and he’d actually take up the father figure in their little group, because we all know Sans is more of a cool uncle kind of guy (and c'mon he’s lazy as heck PSSSHthough for his own kids, who knows 8D).
Also honestly, the thought of kids being little butts to Sans for dating their mom is kinda hilarious c’mon B)
There is nothing about this title I don’t like.
The best part of this title is that in the second half, each new word is completely unpredictable based on what comes before it.

So if McCree is only five years older than Pharah who’s likely around 12 or 13 in that picture (maximum 16) then it kinda stands to reason that McCree’s origin story of “former criminal offered a choice between Overwatch and Jail by Reyes” sound a lot more like “juvenile offender whose life was turned around by Gabriel Reyes who who decided helping him do good in the world was a better idea than just sending him to jail”
please give me Reyes realizing there is a child sitting in his interrogation room and actually becoming quite panicked like
