Yeah, “matpat met the pope while representing the YouTube gaming community” is actually even more ridiculous so I’m not sure context makes this one better

Well it’s true. He spoke to many people about what YouTube is and what gaming is and the culture behind it. When you act like YouTube and gaming can’t be an important cultural thing you sound just like baby boomers complaining about everything new. I don’t see how it’s any different from when Eva longoria met the pope. Mat pat is a celebrity. He has many fans and a successful show. And one of the biggest reasons why YouTube having representation is important is because it’s one step closer to being recognized as a legitimate entertainment source.

in 2014 we had dashcon and 2015 brought us sonic-for-real-justice, and I was getting disappointed that there wasn’t another absurd summer trainwreck on this website to follow, but matpat came to the fucking rescue and gave a steam code for undertale to the literal pope
