The people I hear complaining about how Millenials get trophies just for participating are members of the generation that demanded their kids get trophies just for participating.
The United States is like a younger sibling. We Americans can criticize it all we want, but when someone from a foreign nation does, we are all like “Hey back off!! That’s my country, you can’t make fun of my country!”
That’s because it’s easy to criticize a country you live in because you know what’s going on. Like, there are people who aren’t in America who think that we Americans are just idly standing by while everything goes to shit. We aren’t doing nothing, we are pissed about everything happening in our country and are trying to fix it but the whole system is rigged.
