I was thrilled to pieces when I saw this scene. Disney could have written Gideon off like some bully character who never really amounted to anything, or got what was coming to him like a lot of those characters do in their movies.
Gideon made something of himself. He’s a pastry chef, something that’s not traditionally a job for men in media. And as soon as Judy speaks to him, he immediately apologizes to her. He doesn’t try to shrug it off as no big deal, or say that it was just boys being boys or whatever; he knows he hurt her, and he owns up to it. And Judy immediately forgives him.Well done, Disney.
Also the language that he used is not something that he would have most likely grown up hearing/using. Describing his failings as self-doubt that manifested into “unchecked rage and aggression” sounds SO MUCH like therapy speak. So he’s either gotten counseling to help him with some of his problems, or sought out literature to help himself. A++ disney :)
people don’t really understand how much of a punch to the gut it is to have your platonic art/fics/etc get tagged with incest ships

because people are taking your totally platonic work and adding a layer of incest onto it that didn’t exist before, because people insist that anything that has two people showing physical affection towards each other must be romantic, even the ones that involve family members
nothing is safe for us. nothing is safe. that’s why we add seemingly unnecessary disclaimers, like ‘please don’t tag ships’ or ‘this is 100% platonic’, because otherwise, someone, somewhere, will tag our content with incest, no matter how innocent it is

I was there, like 10,000 people couldn’t even get in. How can people say that he doesn’t have a chance?
Clinton was touted by the media as the inevitable democratic nominee even when she and Sanders had the same number of won states and delegates. I found this to be ridiculous and believe this type pro-Hillary reporting was because the corporations who own the media (Comcast, etc) support Hillary. When the masses repeatedly hear from the major media that Sanders chances of winning are over, they start believing it and get discouraged.
