It’s weird because that Mario Kart just looked like Mario Kart 8? Everything matches up exactly with MK8, except everyone has two items and King Boo wasn’t a character in MK8.
I would have said that they were just using Mario Kart 8 footage as a placeholder, but those differences make it seem like there’s going to be a port of MK8 with new features.
And Splatoon looks exactly the same too except the Inklings have individual “hair”styles, something that wasn’t in the original game, so again, I’m leaning towards “enhanced port”.
Nintendo’s said that their new system wasn’t replacing the 3DS or the Wii U. It all makes sense now. It’s not replacing the 3DS or the Wii U… It’s replacing both!
