I love that the first glimpse you get of the FBI agent protagonist of Deadly Premonition is him smoking a cigarette, yammering about how Tom and Jerry are in a gay BDSM relationship into his cell phone and looking up evidence on his laptop all while DRIVING IN THE DAMN RAIN. 

don’t forget that his lighter has a no smoking sign on it.
This says a lot about him as a character.
