Skipping a pound of sodium on a lake leads to these explosions! (Source)
@actualdonnie
Because it could come in handy someday.
That happens because all alkali metals react violently in water and produce an alkali hydroxide. In this case sodium hydroxide. ( 2 Na + 2 H2O —> 2 NaOH + H2) sodium uses the O and H in water to create an OH+ the combustion creating an acid, because hydrogen had only 1 valance electron when it is excited enough to lose the electron it becomes a donor proton for an acid, (Sodium Hydroxide or better known as Lye)
Sorry I geeked out.. 😐
The following illustrates the use of Francium, a relative of Sodium, for this.
“I like your art but I don’t think its worth the price you’re asking for”
“I could find an artist who draws better than you for cheaper”
“But I’m paying you, that means I get whatever I ask for”
“I’ll pay you when I’m ready”
“I don’t have money, but I’ll pay you in exposure”
“I expect you to read my mind for how I want this commission done, I will not communicate my vision to you at all and I will complain if ANYTHING is not how I pictured”
“Why do you ask for so much when all you’re doing is sitting on your ass and doodling on a computer”
pleeeeeaaaaase don’t make fun of people for being overenthusiastic about their interests. if you see someone getting really excited about something and you think it’s a good idea to ruin their fun (and don’t think people don’t notice your eye rolls and side glances) you’re an asshole
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
