well i mean, the connections to mother are because Toby based the game on it, made mods for it, and his returning song “Megalovania” was originally in one of those mods. so, not as far fetched as some would think.

WEll, sans being one of gasters two assistants makes much more sense and is more plausible considering he attacks with gaster blasters and the blueprints in the shed could just be written in wingdings rather than saturn.
