((happy first anniversary undertale! [full view here]

even though I’m not involved in the fandom anymore, and this blog is dormant, I still wanted to do something to celebrate this day. Undertale influenced me a lot, not just in allowing me to create wonderful friendships and granting me amazing experiences, but for changing how i think about things and view the world. it’s an incredibly positive game with a nice message and it leaves you feeling good and wanting to be a better person. i still love this game dearly, and will probably hold it close to my heart for years to come.

Thank you for following this blog, and thank you for experiencing this game with me!))

there was like a panic every 20-30 years tf 19th century get your shit together

I have a panic every 20-30 minutes so no judgement

But were there any at a disco?

I can confirm none were held at a Disco.

The 20th Century and 21st century aren’t any better though. There were major economic crisis every 20-30 years there too, starting with:

  • The aftermath of World War I. About 25 years after the panic of 1893.
  • The Great Depression of 1929. Unique in that it comes only 10 years after the last major event and, in some places like Germany, was simply an extension of the aftermath of WWI.
  • The aftermath of World War II, where the governments of the world had to shift from war to peace and shift everything back around and fire a bunch of soldiers. About 15 years after the Great Depression.
  • The 1973 Oil Crisis, which plunged the global economy into a recession until the early 1980s. About 30 years after the WWII aftermath started.
  • The Great Recession of 2008. About 35 years after the 1973 Oil Crisis started.

Those’re the major events, though. Minor recessions/economic scares occur every 3-5 years and that’s a trend that’s held steady for most of America’s history, with the 1990s being a glaring exception.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recessions_in_the_United_States

Most of these coincided with events felt in other countries too, such as the Long Depression in England occurring at the same time as the Panic of 1893.
