This.
You will only end up with mud on your palette and tears on your face
and i thought only bob ross knew what was up
this single post is more useful to me then four years of art school
We did it in color study class on my college and it’s incredible the difference between using red/blue/yellow than cyan/magenta/yellow.
The purple was colored like shit, so as the greens. Than we tried the actuall primary colors and it FELT SO GOOD!I JUST TESTED IT IN MY ART PROGRAM AND HOLY SHIT
IT WORKED REALLY WELL
On the left we have dissapoinment; on the right, love.
this is a lot of misinformation.
CMYK is NOT the primary colors, they are for digital printing. RYB are the primary colors for painting.
RYB is not to blame for your muddy colors. YOU are. Muddy colors is a result of not learning how to mix paints correctly.you don’t need to use CMYK for digital art when you can use the color wheel to your heart’s content, and brush tools have blending features.
as for paint, RYB (plus white + black) is the most cost effective and easiest way to mix paintsthis doesn’t mean that you’re wrong for using CMYK, but consider the following before you take some fancy text graphic as fact without researching:
“Painters have long used more than three RYB primary colors in their palettes, and at one point considered red, yellow, blue and green to be the four primaries.[5] Red, yellow, blue and green are still widely considered the four psychological primary colors,[6] though red, yellow and blue are sometimes listed as the three psychological primaries,[7] with black and white occasionally added as a fourth and fifth.[8]The cyan, magenta, and yellow primary colors associated with CMYK printing are sometimes known as “process blue”, “process red”[citation needed] and “process yellow”.”
RYB (red, yellow and blue) is a historical set of colors. It is primarily used in art and art education, particularly painting.[22] It predates modern scientific color theory. RYB make up the primary colors in a painter’s color wheel; the secondary colors OGV (orange, green and violet) make up another triad. Triads are formed by three equidistant colors on a particular color wheel; neither RYB nor OGV is equidistant on a perceptually uniformcolor wheel, but rather have been defined to be equidistant in the RYB wheel.[23]
also, bob ross does not use CMYK. he is shown here, and in his other videos, with RYB, white brown and black on his palette.
a video that explains primary colors and paint mixing
if RYB makes colors muddy, what about people before modern CMYK printers came to be? was all their art muddy? let’s take a look.hmm
looking muddy yet?
lmao don’t spread misinformation to people who want to learn how to paint
Agreed with the last poster. RBY and RBGY predate CMYK by literally hundreds of years and no one ever had trouble with them.
GOD i hate this idea that not graduating when anticipated is considered “late” or “not on time” because it only just reinforces the stigma of being behind, not being as good as your peers, etc and it’s garbage! if you graduate at a time later than you had anticipated, youre still worthy of respect and you still graduated, whether it was a semester, a year, or thirty years down the line
My favourite characterisation of Spark is when most of the time he’s the standard dopey meme loving fuck who dabs and acts immature etc but when something serious happens he absolutely wrecks shit, then goes straight back to memeing five minutes later
I usually have two or more sets of headcanons with characters
Headcanon A: what I think realistically
Headcanon B: what I think is fucking hilariousyou forgot
C: what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends#option D: what would never work with canon but the canon is shit so I believe it anyway
>:U
