Ruby Keeler & Lee Dixon dance on a giant typewriter in Ready, Willing & Able (1937)
So jaded by cgi that I didn’t think this was impressive at all until I realised it was all an actual size set
It took me a solid few seconds to realize those type bars swinging back and forth at the top are actually peoples legs
…and that the movement of the black-clad-legs striking the paper (ie, typing) corresponds to where the dancers are on the keyboard.

Absolutely loosing my mind at the beta arceus sprite leaked on twitter but it reminded me how I always thought that it looked like some of the depictions of biblical angels
people who are like “the final fma battle was cheesy shounen” Shut the fuck up they all stood in a circle and cheered as he fucked god up. and then everyone clapped
“the ending was too happy” literally dont wanna hear it they got home and winry and her dog ran out and hugged them and they cried and then she made them apple pie
It needed to be happy because every single episode that came before the ending was CRUSHING.
what is the point of persevering through suffering if not to earn a happy ending? miss me with that edgy bullshit where everything needs to be dour with no payoff.
THEY EARNED THEIR HAPPY ENDING LET THEM HAVE IT
