If Fox thinks that a muslim can’t write a book about Christianity

would they agree that men can’t write legislation about women?

why would you even wear glasses when contacts are an option

I didn’t like putting stuff in my eyes.

I disliked contacts so much I opted for eye surgery instead.

Because dad tried to make homemade eye solution and it burned like a motherfucker, I kept scratching my eye with my nail, it would take me a loooong time to put them in and by the time I was done my eyes were red and bloodshot, and kept forgetting to take them out so there were times they felt like they were glued to my eyes. I don’t wear glasses either tho I don’t like how they make me look. I walk around bliiiind.

Glasses because I’m forgetful and I do like how I look with em.

because when I was little my parents forced me to an eye specialist who physically held me down on a table to put contacts in 4 year old me’s eyes.

Poni, you really do not have a good history regarding your eyes.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was officially sworn in on November 4th, 2015, gives a very simple answer as to why he decided to have 15 men and 15 women on his cabinet.

America, take notes.

Quotas, like this, lead to an anti-meritocracy, and only act towards the derringer of the society, because enforcing the quota becomes more important than finding the best.

Who said they weren’t the best at what they do?

It’s not that I’m sure they’re not good, the problem is he Chose them to ONLY BE 50/50 M/F. and not from other factors, a 50/50 split should be coincidental, not mandatory.

Source?

Source:

What else is  “gender-balanced” supposed to mean? From this clip, he said that is why it’s 50/50, not that he chose the best and the 50/50 was coincidental. Gender was more important that skill to him.

You’re assuming.

We REALLY aren’t it was one of his goals as Prime minister to have a 50/50 m/f split in his cabinet, Im sure these people are qualified and whatnot, but its still a quota

Right, because a majority of one gender has worked so well for America in comparison.

I understand it’s like forced diversity in a workplace, but don’t you want equality from a government that gives rights and laws?

Or would have been okay if his cabinet was the best but all one gender?

as much as we generally like to play devil’s advocate here we simply must agree with Jestre. Though we don’t personally approve of quotas we can get behind this one and it’s not for the forced equality aspect…

You talk about how Gender is more important than skill… but this is 2015 and the people of the world DESERVE that kind of equality. More than that, we have no doubt his female AND male cabinet members are capable. He is prime minister now, after all. The point we’d like to make here is that if he CAN’T find a 50/50 cabinet that isn’t capable that implies that the society doesn’t have enough members of both sex to fill the rolls that he needs… and if that’s the case maybe it’s good that he’s forcing it a bit…

Now if YOU don’t think that they are capable because there are men OR women in his cabinet that he only chose cause they were meeting the quota it sounds like YOU are presuming his thoughts as though they were yours… and that makes YOU sound sexist… We’re see him as having a very valid reason

“Cause this is the modern day and there’s no reason NOT to…”

This!
