One time I used my retail voice on a coworker and she was like, “Don’t use your customer voice on me, I know you’re dead inside like the rest of us, it’s just frightening and weird”
The other day I asked for a table for two in my customer voice and the waitress squinted at me and I cleared my throat and said “Sorry, still in service mode” and she dropped hers and we swapped stories about our day and my boyfriend was like “You two just became two entirely different people in like .5 seconds…”
I can be bitching up a blue streak about a customer-from-hell while the store is empty, and when the phone rings swap over to my retail voice practically in mid-sentence. I even have managers and salespeople from other stores in the chain fooled into thinking I’m infinitely friendly and helpful, and my manager’s husband thinks I’m one of the most professional people in the store. One assistant manager’s daughter dubbed me Perky-Pants because she mostly dealt with me over the phone, and was shocked to the core when I dropped an F-bomb at her graduation picnic.
The acting required in the service industry is beyond the pale. My cousin freaked out when she came to see me at work because I was all smiling and nice while helping someone who was asking inane questions and who basically forced me to walk them to the product and put it in their fucking hand but I was nice as pie until I turned around to walk away and my demeanor changed back to normal and I muttered “what a fucking moron” under my breath as I got back to my cousin. She just looked at me shocked and said “no wonder you’re so exhausted when you get home.”
30 minutes before close, we can hear the phone ring and we will be like “AWE SON OF A BITCH YOU GOD DAMN FUCKING ASSHOLE” *answers phone* “Hello, how can I help you today?” *takes order and hangs up* ‘I HOPE THEY CHOKE IN THE FOOD”

For a show that focus a lot on the female sex and sexuality, I am disappointed by the fact that Rose Quartz, the epitome of female sexuality and the beauty and sacrifice of motherhood, is relegated as a background character.
-ozthearistocrat
Well, how the fuck would they make a character who has been dead since before the show began be a main character? Also, if she’s a background character then greg is a background character.
But the thing is, even the background characters have a lot of depth. Seriously, do the people who submit these drink paint before doing so? :U

#i was about to scroll past this venomously but omfg
Did nobody watch this fucking movie and see how fucking awesome she was? How did her character ‘get fucked up’ exactly? Risking her life to keep Ultron from getting Vision? Alerting the Avengers to where she was even when imprisoned? Fighting side-by-side against the fucking killer robots with only her close-ranged weapons and NO powers? BUT NO! She has a relationship with Bruce, let’s out the fact she DOES have doubts about being a hero after all the horrible shit she did and her being unable to forgive herself or even feel ‘normal’ compared to the others on her team because her upbringing WASN’T normal, including being fucking mutilated so she couldn’t have a kid and something else to live for. NO! EMOTIONAL development is fucking murder to her character. We need the girl who can walk away from Loki’s taunting without a flinch, despite it CLEARLY getting to her when she walked away. We can’t have a character with probably the highest body-count on the team have fucking EMOTIONS.
There’s no “THIS” gif good enough to express my feelings about the above response.
Once again, SJWs ignore character depth so they can complain that a character is shallow.
I think one of the major problems is they think that when Black Widow says “I’m a monster” They think that is the writer saying that she is a monster, instead of “She thinks she’s a monster” She can be wrong about herself.
Well, yes, that would be a fair point, except every film but IM2 featuring her has noted that she’s done some bad things in her past and feels guilty for them. Assuming that the writer meant “She’s a monster because she can’t have children” is not exactly reasonable.
On top of the idea feminist seem to have about how the portrayal of flawed woman is somehow sexist.

She’s a monster because she killed dozens of people just to get IN to the assassins group. And she killed hundreds more afterwards.

Sardonyx isn’t in Guide to Crystal Gems because Sardonyx wasn’t canon.
-Anonymous
How is sardonyx not canon?
Yeah I mean she was in an episode and Garnet talked about the fusion in the keystone motel episode.
So that makes it canon.
the entire week of sardonyx was because pearl tricking garnet into fusing caused a whole bunch of different problems
