The dog knights use short-range weapons as they aren’t monsters and actually stand a chance against a human.

Same. Looked up her wiki. If you buy one of her 9999g items, she won’t battle you and let you pass. Otherwise you have to try to survive for 17 turns. (I can’t make it pass 8…)
Farming gold. Yaaaay.
or if you bought one of the spider donuts in the beginning and haven’t eaten it yet, you just have to stall. She’ll eventually get a note saying that you bought something, etc etc etc.

If you eat it on the battle, muffet accuses you of stealing it. But yea, a lot of food should be used in specific battles
