How about mat pat was chosen to speak about how the internet brings people together while representing YouTube and games and had to give the pope a gift symbolizing that so he gave the pope a game about love and acceptance. The memes of undertale don’t make undertale any less of a game. Did arrow in the knee devalue skyrim? Did all the various pokemon memes make anybody less excited about pokemon? or are you just someone who hates people based on hearsay about negative things and automatically assumed there’s more negative than positive because you never bothered to actually look at it. If its the latter then congrats, you’re the very reason he gave the pope that game.

Any who, he wasn’t saying gamers are oppressed, again context is everything. He was explaining what availability heugenics is, using recent events to help people better understand it.
Also the memes were made after the game. Is pokemon a meme game? is smash bros a meme game? is donkey Kong a meme game? is spongebob a meme show? Is shrek a meme movie? Nobody makes a entertaining piece with the intention of it being a meme and memes that spawn from undertale don’t make what the games about any less enjoyable.
I would be flattered The Pope saw my porn but they’ll be be more of a reflection of you than me considering that when I draw doesn’t hold much relevance to The Gaming Community. Now if I drew some game relevant porn that would be something entirely different.
