Cartoons never let a female villain just look like a sick ass monster and it’s fucking hackneyed and that last shot of her species looks like Tim Buckley tried to draw Cthulhu over and over except for the one girl one in the crowd who has to have tits and a baby this is like some kinda heinous Seth Mcfarlane George Lucas travesty of anticreativity
Hell, she wasn’t even a villain. Myaxx was notable for being a good person from the same species as the main antagonist.

The weird part is they actually have a justification for all the inconsistencies. The all powerful Celestialsapiens are always dicking around with the universe, so you get the occasional retcon. Hell, Ben himself had to remake the universe at one point, so you can blame that last one on him.
Out of universe, the Ben 10 creative team is pretty lazy about their own continuity and it shows.

Yup! In “Universe vs. Tennyson” (Ben 10 Omniverse, ep.58), Ben was put on trial for having used his Alien X [a Celestialsapien] powers to recreate the entire universe (in
“So Long and Thanks for All the Smoothies!”, ep.07 of B10:Omniverse), after the Incurseans & the Vreedle Brothers destroyed it with The Anihilaarg.
According to evidence given by Ben’s defense attorney, Celestialsapiens are the reason behind the different art styles and appearances of the franchise, since each one of them has universe-scale reality-altering powers.
So, yeah, A Wizard God-Like Alien Did It.

The name comes from “Chimera”, a mythical beast with
parts from many different animals, and “Sui Generis”, a Latin term that

You guys are acting like Omniverse’s art style wasn’t a step up from the bland mess that was Alien Force and Ultimate Alien. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but it was visually the most enjoyable of the spin-offs.

…..Except I’m not the OP, and no matter what your opinion of the art style, you can’t possibly think that later design is cooler, more original or spiritually faithful. Those are hardly “sjw” opinions for anyone to hold.
“Mr. Smoothy” there is still the same exact concept, a goofy cartoon smoothie guy. Changing a previously fearsome, intimidating and very nonhuman alien into just a green woman is as creatively bankrupt as a design change can possibly be.
It’s an extremely noticeable and tiresome design trope that female monsters and aliens frequently look more human than male ones. That’s not a criticism that even comes from the “feminist” place your other posts are complaining about, it’s just bad and generic creature design either way. People have been pointing it out in science fiction for generations.

Some part of me wants to believe somebody at Lucasfilm goofed and handed some story info over my mistake. The other is completely content that this magazine has a Star Wars fan that decided that come up with their own theory about Finn’s origins and laid it bare for all to see. Artorias is an Outer Rim planet and it appears to have a kingship, so, you k’know. Maybe he is a kidnapped prince.
#also the king of artorias in legends fought in the rebellion and like was at the battle of hoth#AND artorias is described as a peaceful planet with few defenses#on the outer rim#so it would make sense as a target for first order raids#look it’s totally possible this is just speculation or a mistake based on the legends character but aLSO#IT COULD BE REAL#finn#plus if it is him and they keep his name then he’d be finn galfridian#which is a cool-ass name (via na-vhenan)
