You know, I feel like at this point the animators just don’t care. Quality control is non-existent and they’re just doing whatever in hopes they can just move on to something else
I’m convinced the animators are either interns with too much on their plates or people who really wanted to get fired, or people who knew this would tank even with good animation and didn’t waste their time.
Considering the drastic difference between the story board and the final product, i’m positive the animators stopped caring.
However, this is a fairly common mistake. Last I saw it was mlp a few years back on the cocatrice episode where sweetiebelle spoke scootaloos line.
I think the first thing you have to do to be a SU storyboarder is draw some hands. Like you gotta show you have a handle on hands, you gotta have that down. Because there’s so many hands, even more so than the normal amount of hands you got just by having the usual two handed characters.
Like you have regular character hands, but then you have fusions, most of which have extra hands
and then there’s characters who instead of feet just have more hands
and then one of the things is a hand, where all the fingers are also hands
thing used to activate stuff? In the shape of a hand
and a spaceship? Well that’s a hand too

you gotta hand it to the crewniverse, they really have a handle on what they’re doing! but if they’re looking to hire any interns, i’d be happy to lend a hand!
